New hosting
Switching hosts is not always for the faint of heart.
I think I’m through the worst of it, but there are still a few niggling issues. I do have to say that my previous complaints were all addressed almost immediately.
The main thing for me is that I had to do a lot more manual Apache configuration on the new host (should have snagged the old .htaccess file). SSH access solved most of my problems, but this was my first experience having such a locked down MySQL database.
In the end, I have the latest WordPress and MediaWiki software installed, SSH access allowing me to handle upgrades gracefully, and much more room/bandwidth for much less money.
Oh, and always check your links before posting something if your blog entries are going to show up in popular feeds.
