Wiki, not website
Treasure Tables: Running a Campaign Website makes some useful points about running the site, but leaves out the most useful tip I could think of: make the campaign site a wiki.
The big advantage to using a wiki is player involvement - they can correct mistakes, make notes, and help with the general task of running it. And when you empower them to do that - well, they do it.
